The two Univeralty teams compet- Ing in the Lawn Tennis League kuf- fered severe reversen yesterday, and in both instances recorded their first defeats of the season. In the "D" Division; the Recreio won an oxelting encounter and go to the head of the table with a fine record, while the C.R.C. occupy the contemporary post- Linn in the "C" Division. The K.C.C. full victims to the Hongkong Cricket Club In the "B," and the Graduates Association proved no match for the Y.M.C.A., and lost their first en- counter of the season.

The heavy rains during the early part of the work wrought sumelent havoc with many of the grounds to cause the postponement of a number of matches. Yesterday's results were: "H" Division.
