An inquiry into the death of a Chineas male Fung Foon (60). who was knocked down by a China notar 'bus on May near tho Mongkok Fire Station and died in the Cowloon Hospital, was held by Mr. Hamilton, altting with u Jury, at Kowloon yesterday after.

Private D. G. Smeelon of Company, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, said that about 3.80 p.m. on May 3 he was in the bus which was travelling towards the Stur Ferry. The bus harted at the stopping place about hnadred yards before the Fire Station and· then proceeded un. of the bus, which was about two or three yards clear of the kerb, and whkeit was proceeding at a tornal speed. The driver swerved to the right and pulled up in a few feel.
