CINEMA NOTES.
"MADAM SATAN" HAS FINE SPECTACLE.
"Spectacle", interpreted in terms of striking motion picture scta and ccatumes, has long been a term spicially associated with the name of Cecil B. Do Mills, Metro-Goldwyn- With his Mayer producer-director. "Zeppelin Bail" of "Madam Satan". which will open the Queen's Theatre on Sunday, De Mille feels that he has uchieved a worthy ocular successor to the "Cinderella Ball" of "Forbladen Fruit", and the "Snek of Rome" in "Manslaughter."
De Millo's current appeal to eyes that love colour and charming draped human beings is laid aboard a Zep. pelin, the property of Roland Young. A comedian of the piece. A meeting on the Zeppelin between Bob Brooks Keginald Denny) estranged from his wife, Kay Johnson, with a mysterious "Madam Satan," provides the prin elpal plot impetus of Jeanie Mac- Pherson's story. The denouement takes place just as the airship is torn loose from its mooring mast, forcing the guests to jump in parachutes.
The story starts in the home of Angeln and Rob Brooks, who have grown apart from each other, and in the bedroom of Trixie, the other wo- man. It is from these early scenos that the story proceeds to the air. ship.

romancers.
There is
every reason to believe Montgomery and Miss Jordan will be picture together often again, the establishing the wisdom of the initial venture. Montgomery has the ir resistibility of cocksure youth, capți- vating to the Indles and likable to the men at the RAC Lime, Miss Jordan, is a fluttering bit of Southern femininity, sweetly appealing to both sexes and all 1 musical agce. The music, by Dorothy Fields and Jimmy McHugh, is tuneful and catchy. There are two sure-fire hits, "I'm Learning a Lot From You" and "Go" Home and Tell Your Mother", and the other five numbers are bound to win favour.
