If You Want to Be Youthful---
1. Maggy Rouft showed that she understands what 18-year- olds like when sho designed this green and gold lame cloak.
Here is a new array from Paris, emphasizing youth in every line and ending the silly efforts to make mere girls assume the ways of sophisticated, grownup women

THERE'S youth in the new Paris things that have come across for late winter and
early spring weat,
T
When the new feminine styles changed last year, the entire realm of clothes seemed to have gone older, more sophisticated. Now you can have that insouciante dash of life and springtime that every young person wants, and should want.
You will find the new things quite in that dashing vein which you feel, looking ahead, There are comparatively short skirts-short, at least, after last year's scare-and nicky crepe effects and boleras that are not boleros, but look like them, and overblouses that are princess in line, but have a neckline or beltline that stamps them your age exactly. Gay sulars, too, greet your eye. The black-white vogue is grand, there is no denying that. But fcere is something matronly and a bit sad about the fashion world gone all black and white. There is nothing like a saucy lipstick red crepe frock under the fur coat to prove just how dreary all black could be.
I.
IF you are one of those young things who always "haven't a thing to wear," you will appreciate a sweet crepe romaine frock in medium blue that has tucks, pleats, bows and bandlings to tailor it trickily and yet make it very dressy little wearable frock. The skirt really is box pleated all around, but so fine is the tucking around the hipline and across the lower part of the hips that you seen to forget it's a pleated skirt.
There is a simple little while collar of georgette and it can be taken out or left in because the V neck is finished in the same fine hand finish as the entire frock gets.
The stitched belt has a novel little prystal buckle in the same blue as the frock and whate of the collar. Given a chic matching blue felt hat you are fixed for many a demand your wardrobe has failed to respond to..
II. IF you are very young, you will love a green and gold lame eve- ning cant from Maggy Rouff's that takes its inspiration from the coachman's coat of yore.
The sleeves are mandarin and there is a cute little collar almost like a Peter Pan cut and a front facing down from it, of white ermine.
III. SINCE you probably want one black and white outfit, have a look at an afternoon outfit that is young enough to flaunt a huge, Nexible strass buckle which adds tremendous rest to the outfit. This Patou dress has a severe cut that certain kinds of youngsters can wear perfectly. The skirt wrap-around and black satin, lined with white. The blouse is white satin, with frout facings of the black that swing loose, like a necklace from around the neck and tucks into the skirt.
IV. IF you feel like going "lady-like" for daytime, there is a maroon-colored broad-
cloth suit from Jane Regny with cushion collar of flat galyack that is tremen- * dously smart and young looking.
It has a coat that fits the figure, with a peplum skirt to the coat that flares and is stil fined by a broad band of the galyack. There is a wrap-around skirt; that wraps far enough to let you step down the street with all the lilt in the world.
The tunic blouse is the chicest little thing in the world, made, of a lovely lame, in a pinky beige and silver tone. The part below the waist fits tight enough to be tremen- dously start and blouses over the waistline in gentle fullness. There is a cowl collar.
V. IF you want to look dressed up and ready to go any place the crowd moves on to dance, there is a Bitle. Phillipe and Gaston ensemble of the new rich green' that
- speaks for itself in a decided manner.
The frock has cute short sleeves and a skirt flounce, that makes it nice and full for the new tango steps. The coat is the triumph of the ensemble, however.
Made with trick new cape that is fastened to the sleeves and does not extend across the front. the coat fastens tight in the front, like a princess line, with pretty buttons.
Then a perfectly scrumptuous big collar of lynx makes a wonderfully flattering frame for the little head hatted in green to match the coat's jersey cloth. And the same lynx entively bands the voluminous cape.
VI. SOMETHING new in evening ensembles--and who doesn't want one-is the Maggy Rouff outfit of the new inky black which is really the softest rich, deep purply blue gone practically black.
This outfit has a dash to it that is youth itself. Sunray pleats achieve the most vibrant effect in this. The bodice of the gown is simple and plain, as is one-half the yoke por- tion of the skirt, From one side of this yoke. a sunray pleated panel lets all kinds of room into the skirt. There is a similar auntay fan of material at the opposite side of the back, so, this is a dance frock supreme.
Topping it is the sweet cape with pointed hemline, all sunray pleats..
VI. If you're looking
for mystery that Intrigues, here it is in Maggy' Rouff's purply- blue dress with Sun-ray pleats.
