A Dry Shampoo.

There are many occasions when the hair needs washing, but cokis or other minor allments forbid. Then is the time to une a dry shampoo.

These shampoos consist of absorbent substances, such 49 powdered orris root And rice starch, to which perfumed oils and mild antisepties have been added; occasionally 11 trace af weak alkali is added, to assist in the removal of grease.

The powder should be applied to the hair by means of a chcup> svent spray, kept specially for tho purpose. The powder should re- main in the hair for at least ten en minutes; hat it could be left on overnight. The hair should then be brushed thoroughly, that all the powder comes away, and brings excess oil and dust with it.
