A NEW RIFLE CLUB.

CIVILIAN ORGANISATION TO

BE ESTABLISHED.

As will be seen by an advertino. meat appearing on another page, a meeting is being called of all those intorcatod in rifle shooting, in the Board Room of Monars, Jardino, Matheson and Co., Ltd., at 0.30 p.m. en January 16th.

remembered

We learn that this meeting is being called for the purpose of constituting Rifle Club, under the auspices of which the Rife League would be shot off yearly. It will be that the Rifle League fell into inactivity for a few years and that last year it was revived, the League and the Interport Shoot being aue: confully organised, The League, by the very nature of its constitution, can only enjoy a membership of the various Clubs contesting, but now it in hoped to form a Club which enn be joined by all civilians interested. The Government has, we are in-

which has

formed, adopted a very favourable altitude towards the project, and has granted the site necessary for a new range, the lack of hitherto been the greatest stumbling block to rifle shooting in the Colony. Thin new range will be situate at the north end of Kowloon Tong, in the valley above the south face of the readily railway tunnel. It will be accessible, being but a few minutes walk from the Kowloon Tong bus terminus.
