DEATH OF A VETERAN CRICKETER
London, Nov. 27. The death has occurred of the ericketer J. T. Tyldesley, Router.
[J. T Tyldesley is best remembered ha a noted cricketer before the war. He led the English county batting averages In 1901, with 56.29. He. was a mainstay in the English elde against Australia in 1005, with two centuries to his credit, and also scored a contury for England as far back ns 1002. He held the previous English Gth. wicket Tent partnership record (with R. II. Spooner) when 158 was put on, at the Oval In 1085, He played altogether 28 Umes against Australia and five times against South Africa. Like Ernest Tyldesley, of the same family, he was in county cricket ono et Lancashire's stalwarts. He was 57 years of age)
