The programme commenced with a pianoforte solo by Miss Winifred Robinson, after which Mr. C. W. L. Cole rendered a song. This was followed by A. A. Milne's sketch "The Boy Comes Home," and dealt with the return of a young soldier from the battlefields of France. This piece was extremely well pre- sented, all those participating xiy- ing a good account of themselves and coming in for much apprecia- tion from the audience. The play- ers were as follow. Philip (Mr. R. Woolley); Uncle James (Mr. S. A. Sweet); Aunt Emily (Miss P. Wool. ley); Mary, the maid (Miss M. White). and Mrs. Higgins, the cook (Miss R. Cole).
