a number of competitions were held. At the close of the afternoon's play the prizes won during the season were distributed by Mr. H. Overy. Mr. F. E. Remedios was eengratulated on having won the Club Championship for the fifth year in succession.

In introducing Mr. Overy, Dr. said that he had been placed in Cogan (Vice-President of the Club)
was going to introduce a difficult and ambiguous position as he
highly re spected and well-known gentleman whom he had never met, due to his (Dr. Cogan's) being a newcomer to the Club. However they all knew Mr. Overy and felt honoured that he was with them that day. (Applause).
