Move Along Please!

We recently made reference to the improvement effected by moving certain of the bus stopping signs. but a complaint has reached us that drivers do not always observe the re-arrangement. The case in point concerns the "Stup" just beyond the Wanchai Market where the sign has been removed seme yanis past the bottleneck. It would be well if the drivers were given definite in- structions to pull up exactly at the just.

Hand Signals.

Hand signalling is not always done as clearly as it might, and drivers of following vehicles are often at a loss to understand the in- tention of the driver ahead. We observed a particularly annoying instance of this while driving down the Peak the other day. An ob- viously femine hand kept popping

and some speculation was indulged in as to what exactly was being signalled. After some distance had been covered, the following car re- ceived the signal to pass, but while actually doing so, the same hand suddenly commenced another de- monstration of waggling. It was then noticed that the only reason was the flicking the ash from a cigarette!
