"They're worth a

nice big kiss!''

It's a big favour for one child to share those treasured "Ovaltine" Rusks with another. A nice big kiss is a small reward for rusks no delightfully crisp and so deliciously crunchy,

A child's instinct is for foods which require thorough mastication. When only soft foods are given, this instinct is soon lost. The result is seen in irregular. and crowded teeth, ill-developed jaws and ugly mouths. "Ovaltine" Rusks should be included in the daily dietary of every child, because they give the exercise to ensure sound healthy teeth, and the proper development of the jaws. Efficient mastication has also a vital bearing upon health.

It is the addition of “Ovaltine" which gives these ruska their fascinating flavour, renders them easy of digestion, and gives them' a much higher nutritive value than ordinary ruska,

For the Fastidious.

A midille-aged woman who likes to look fresh and trim in washing] clothes finds these dark linen quits most useful. Blue linien, pale and dark, is worn by girls and young women. Pale rose colour, yellow, and all white for linen frocks without sleeves and short coats to go with them, is a fashion of which no one tires. A plain straw hat with a'ribbon band goes with linen ensembles when the hat is not of the same material as the dress.

Fastidious women are again wearing fine white lines lingerie. Nothing is more suitable for sum- mer wear than this, and when it is exquisitely worked by hand and trimmed lightly with real lace, It is the daintiest of all kinds of lingerie. It is the only material) to wear under white lingerie] blouses and linen dresses. Crepe de Chine is quite wrong linen is used for the dress.

With a white lineg, tennis frock or a flowered cotton crepe

This coat is made of brown and yellow spotted Shantung, faced and bound with plain yellow Shantung like the dress, while the hat repeats the scheme with printed crown and upper brim and a plain yellow lining,

when eretonne, a plain linen coat looks right. Over a white frock a coat of yellow linen may be put, or a or white linen coat over a yellow

A Beautiful Gown.

Figured linens, too, are worn over plain white or linen frocks. Unlined, and simply cut, these little coats wash and wear very, well. For young girls dress with no sleeves and a short linen coat either to match or to make a contrast, is gay and bright. A plain white straw hat, or beret to match, completes the idea,

For the bench there are linen' pyjamas with coats to match. In blue, in pink, in yellow, in white, these girlish looking beach en- sembles are ideal for a quiet sea- side place. The coat has sleeves, the tucked-in blouse has none, the trouses and coat are well fitted with pockets.

Linen Sunshades.

There are also linen sunshades; to match the pyjamas, and big bags as well. Linen pyjamas are quite unsophisticated and not at all like those gaudy pyjamas made for Palm Beach, the Lido, and. Deauville.

Some Nourishing Jellies.

Those are excellent for children or for convalescents, and are especially nice on a warm day.

Egg Jolly.-To 1 pint of water allow 3 cgga 202. of loaf sugar, 1 lemon, Joz. of gelatina.

Wipe the lemon and rub the loaf sugar on the rind to extract the flavour. Put the sugar, water, gelatine, and juice of the lemon into a pan over low heat until dissolved then, strain the mixture on to the beaten yolks of the eggs, rotura to the pan and stir over low heat until the eggs thicken, na for custard. Cool, then stir in the stiffly whipped whites of the eggs, colour pale green, and put into a wetted mould. ›

Tam out when set.

Milk Jelly-Boil 1 pint of milk with a bay leaf, add Joz. of gelating dissolved in gill of water, sweeten to taste, and when cold strain into a mould rinsed out in cold water. Turn out when set.

For children this may be coloured pink with carmine or cochineal, and is much appreciated if made in amall moulds.

DANGEROUS OPPOSITES.

What are the most dangerous "opposites" in the way, of qualities when it comes to assessing the characters of people who intend to make the experiment of sharing a home.?

The question was being discussed, not necessarily so far as it affected any two friends living together.

Many different dangerous qualities and babits were named, but I think i that the most convincing case was made out for the couple whose op- posing qualities caused ONC Coll- sistently to hoard and the other! to throw away,
