TELEGRAPH. SATURDAY, AUGUST 30, 1930.
A share of the credit for the success of "Sach Men Are Dangerous," Fox Movietone all talking emotional drama which will open at the Queen's Theatre on Sunday, goes to Melville Burke who stage directed the production.. Burke, who is rated among the foremost of New York stage directors, is a native of St. Louis, Mo., where he was educated before he entered Harvard from which he graduated with a degree of A, B.

After gaining much valuable experience as an actor, he decided to become a director and directed several stock- companica 'in the mid-western stages before went to New York, where he became prominent as stage director of such well remembered successes as "Excess Baggage,” "Tonight at Twelve." "Episode," "Precious" and "The Husband Habit" in which Grace George was. the star.

"Gentlemen of the Press,”
Walter Huston, dramatic artist; vaudeville entertainer and motion picture star, whose latest produc- tion, "Gentlemen of the Press," from the famous stage play by Ward Morehouse, will be shown at the Central Theatre to-morrow, was popular on the vaudeville stage for years as a singer of original songs.

the Press," an all-talking picture, he plays a straight, dramatic role. Thompson Shows it Can Be Done.
There's no doubt about it. If yqa start out in a life as a chemis- try professor, become a news- paperman, dramatic critic, and then write some of Broadway's biggest musical hits, you'll finally become a scenario writer. That's how Harlan Thompson did it, at least. As the author of "Little
Jesse James" 'and "Twinkle, Twinkle," Thompson made a name for himself before deserting the stage for the screen. Since he
has been with Fox Movietone he has written the dialogue for "The Ghost Talks" and the story, dialogue and lyrics of "Married in Hollywood."
The same brilliancy that has marked his former efforts is a feature of "The Big Party," John Blystone's latest production for Fox Movietone, for which Thomp- son wrote the story, continuity and dialogue, as well as the lyrics of several of its song numbers in collaboration with William Kernall.
"The Big Party," in which Sue Carol, Dixie Lee and Walter Catlett are the leads, is the present feature attraction at the Queen's Theatre.
