London, Aug. 1. The log of the journey of the airship R.100, which was safely moored at Montreal' at 9,20 (Greenwich Mean Time) is published.
The voyage in its early stages was relatively uneventful, and the log, states that cards and sleep were the most popular methods of passing the time. Everybody was able to keep warm without re course to the flying kit, and the electric radiators in. the passen- gers' cabins were not needed.
The damage to the port fin of the airship was reported by special signal when off Father Point in St. Lawrence at 12.20 p.m. Iocal time on the third day of the flight. The log proceeds: Two hours later, temporary repairs complet- ed. At 9.30 local time, we passed through a thunderstorm with violently disturbed air currents. The ship's height varied rapidly between 1,500 and 4,000 feet. Slight damage to the starboard fin; otherwise O.K. Avoided many thunderstorms. Dropped main wire 4 am. local time and. good landing was made.

Bye-laws in regard to food- preserving establishments Are contained in the Gazette, which ako intimates that a register of such establishments will be kept by the Head of the Sanitary De partment, and no person shall continue or commenco any auch establishment unless it is regis- tered. Amongst the bye-laws aro the following:
Except with the permission of the Board no water shall be used for any purpose other than water from the Government Water Works and laid on to the premises of the food-preserving establish ment.
All apparatus, utensils and machinery shall be kopt in a cleanly condition.
Except with the permission of the Board the premises of a food- preserving establishment shall not be put to any other use or purpose, domestic or otherwise..
No animals except cats shall be kept.
No drain inlet shall exist or re- main in any part of the premises.
Adequate kitchen, ablution, urinal, and privy accommodation, to the satisfaction of the Board, shall be provided.
