MURDER TRIAL CONCLUDES.
PRISONER FOUND GUILTY BUT INSANE,
It took the jury at the Criminal Sessions yesterday less than five minutes to come to the decision that LA Man-pun had murdered Fung Sik-cheuk while of unsound mind at the Hung Tak Bank, Queen's Road West, on Saturday, May 24.
When the Court re-assembled after the tiffin adjournment, afr. Fitzroy said the ease for the Crown had concluded, Mr. d'Almada stated that no evidence would be called for the defence.
Crown Case Reviewed. Mr. Fitzroy reviewed the ovidence as laid before the jury and. in dealing with the question of insanity, said that the law held every person responsible for his actions unless he could prove by evidence that he was subject to a disease of the mind of such nature that he did not know what he was doing, or if he did know, then he did not know he was do- ing wrong.
