When is a newcomer not a new- comer?

The best answer to that ques- tion which we can think of off- hand is "when her name is Joan Marsh."

Sixteen-year-old Joan, blande and beautiful, is being given" a high rating among the screen's newcomers these days. Actually,. however, Joan is a veteran in this "land of promise." She made her debut in the flickering filums way back in the days when they did that was flicker. Incidentally, just about the time that Mary Plekford was beginning to make her curls famous.

Joan was only nine months old when she was first carried onto a movie set.
