FAREWELL TO MADAME ANNA CAROLA.
INFORMAL GATHERING AT THE HONGKONG HOTEL.
Madame Anna Carola, who is well known in the colony as a teacher of singing, was given an informal farewell at the Hongkong Hotel roof garden yesterday. She will leave for England on Saturday. The function was a tea dance, while there was also a short musical programme.
Maddme-Garola, sang two of her favourites-An Old Fashioned Town" and "I passed by your Window and Mr. Lì. Chorchi Included two Toselli numbers, with violin obbligato by Mr. H. S. Yung, among his songs. Miss Daphne Leigh was heard in a short vocal item, while the other artists were Mr. W. R. Fleming (planoforte), Mr. S. B. Tan (violin) and Miss Dot Faye.
