Li Sau, steersman of the fishing junk, in his report, says that the junk left Shaukiwan about nine o'clock on Saturday morning and proceeded towards Waglan for the purpose of Ashing. About half past ten an ocean-going liner col- lided with the stern of the junk, and proceeded on its way without stopping.

The junk commenced to found- er, but the crew, with the excep tion of the mistress, Nan Sze, were rescued by another junk which appeared on the scene.
