U.S. TARIFF BILL TO BE SIGNED.

PRESIDENT HOOVER ON POSSIBLE REMEDIES.

Washington, June 16. President Hoover announces that ho will sign the Tariff Bill, and in- dicates that if he finds the flexible provisions are not sufficiently powerful to effect needful changes, he will request greater powers.

He says that complaints by soma foreign countries that the duties are unduly high, are remediable, if justified, by proper application to the Commission.·

A Paris message states that, commenting on the above, the Echo de Paris says France will be com pelled to take reprisals, "The United States are vulnerable now, as industrial products form half of their exports. Sooner or later they will learn this to their cost."- Reuter.
