London, the City of infinite sur- prises, where trains can lose them- selves and where anything which is required can be purchased, has once again provided a new curi- osity in having two of its for- gotten tunnels put up for sale or lease. They were first offered to the Highways Committee of the London County Council, who have felt compelled to refuse the offer. Therefore, the tunnels have come into the open market.
