#Representative members of the American community in Shangbai met at the American Club recently at the dinner held in honour of the new American [Minister to China, Mr. Nelson T. Johnson. The spacious dining room of the Club, appropriately flag-drapod, was crowded. During the course of the evening, Mr. Johnson made a short address in reply to Mr. E. S. Cunningham, the American Consul-General.
