SEQUEL TO FRENCH PLANE CRASH IN KWANGSI.

COLLEAGUE'S DEATH.

Captain Auclerc, the French military airman, who was cap tured in Kwangsi when the plane in which he was flying as observer crashed recently, has been released on payment of the ransom of $20,000 demanded, according to information reach ing the Colony this morning. It will be recalled that a would-be rescue party was attacked by Chinese troops.

The death of the pilot, Captain Baronna, is confirmed by the re- leased officer, who says that his colleague's parachute failed to open.

In an account of his adventures, Captain Auclerc said Captain Baronna was piloting the machine near Langson, when all leaked out from the tank and the caught fire.
