When a Reuter representative went shots, but he also showed that he into Scott's dressing room, Scott can adapt himself to any sort of moaned and shrieked as a masseur game. Sharkey.
What the Boxers Say. When the fight ended both boxers were hissed and booed by the crowd. Scott was carried from the ring by three policemen.
"No, I never fooled that cry baby. He just quit," said Sharkey.
"I have never seen a more disgust- ing decision in my life. I was hit at least six fouls," said Scott.
It is significant that Sharkey was warned for hitting low in the third round just before the knock-out.
Sharkey's aggression won him both the completed rounds. He had Scott down for counts of three and six in the second and for three and six again in the third.
Scott Down Four Times.
A right swing by Sharkey sent Scott down in the second round and he was on the boards again from successive left, right and left blows for the count of six. In the third round, a tremendous left put him down the first time, and a right to the stomach floored him, a little later. It was this blow which is the one in question.
Both boxers missed frequently. Throughout, Scott boxed finely, block- ing, ducking and landing severa! times with his right. He niso landed one tremendous left, but it did not appear to hurt Sharkey very much.
The end came after two minutes and thirty-four seconds in the third
round.
In the preliminary bouts, Campolo and Risko fought for ten rounds, the result being announced as a draw. It was an unsatisfactory result, the crowd thinking, that Risko won Reuter's American Service,
"Every Dirty Trick."
Miami, Feb. 28. Trevor Wignall, the Daily Exprcas Miami correspondent, says it was the foulest fight he has seen. Sharkey used every dirty trick invented, from butting and low hitting, to the use of the knee. It was a disgrace to
boxing:
Green put up a really great fight, and it appeared at one time that he was going to run his opponent to fours sets. His placing down the "tram lines" was particularly accurate, but he could have afford- ed to drop some of his drives a little shorter. Once or twice, though, he brought off a fine winner with a half-court cross shot, and it was only his inability to force home an advantage that prevented him from taking a set.
E.F. Fincher and Luk Ding- cheung engaged in a long duel, which went to the full five sets, be fore the latter secured the verdict. Luk merited his success by the clever manner in which he forced the exchanges in his favour at the critical time, but otherwise there was little to choose between the players. Both made great use of chop strokes, but Luk was certain- ly more effective at the net. Yesterday's results were:
