"The Colony is being flooded with these tickets," stated a police official to-day, in referring to the large number of new sweeps, re- presenting a marked increase over previous years, that have this year come into existence.
It is learned that the counterfoils scized by the police in the two week-end raids are being retained by the authorities, while the matter is being carefully gone into.
It will be recalled that in the case of the tickets seized at the Sincere
Company's store, Mr. Hamilton on Saturday declined to make any order for their confisca- tion, remarking that "the whole to be in the melting thing seems pot."
