ERASMIC PERFUMERS - LONDON

The difference between youth" and age has never been less marked than it is in the woman of to-day. Women let the years pass, graciously and ungrudgingly, for life no longer demands of them a diminution of work or play with advent of their fortieth summer. Among the dancers in the smartest clubs and restaurants are many women whose light feet bello their age. Beautifully gowned, hair fashionably dreased, eyes bright, complexions radiant,, they can expect admiration in any gathering. It is one of the consolations of modern ilfe that youth is no longer mensured by years.

can

Perhaps it is the dazzling beauty of their complexions which seems most to defy time. Every Woman count herself young until ·· wrinkles come, until the chin- line falls, and the face loses its firmness. To-day, thou- sands of women keep happily young by the regular use of Peerless Erasmie Soap.

Peerless Erasmic has for years been known to women of fashion as fulfilling a vital complexion need.

It is a cleanser and a tonic, and its constant use нecures perpetual youth for the skin.

Navy Football.

A China Fleet Football League match was played at Causeway Bay on Sunday afternoon, Iroquola de feating Serapis by three, goals with- out reply. Teams:

Iroquois Wyatt; Harmon, Oliver; Curtis," Noben, Alisop; Hall," Brough, Evans, Fell, Wade.

Soraple. Savage; Noonan, Holden; Vallon, Flick, Kearney; Cox, Toomey, Dyer, Wootten, Sharpe,...

The half-time Whistle, was- blown with ná acore, both teams being very avenly matched unt then. The Borapis forwards made ground directly after the interval; and forced corner, which Wyatt dealt with effectively. By good play the Iroqupin took the ball well up the field, and a centre from Wade was neatly fended in by Brough: Serapis seemed to slacken off after this reverse, and Evans, boating both backs, got through to give Savngo little chance with a hard shot. Iroquois followed up their advantage, and forced a corner, from which Brough scored his second goal.

Serapis v Bruce,

Serapis turned out again yesterday afternoon at Happy Valley, and were defented by Bruce in an 8th Destroyer Flotilla League match by four goals to one. Teams:

Serapis-Savage; Moonan, Holden; Sharpe, Vallon, Kearney; Weston, Wootton, Toomey, Fleck, Welch.

Brice.--Barnes; Miller, Parr; Hooper, Horner, Grubb; Hawes, Pear: son, Patis, Joynes, Barrett.

In the first ten minutes Polts opened the score for Bruce, after taking the ball from halfway and beating Savage. Serapia combined well, but the Bruce defence held them until Weston drove in an excellent cross-shot for Welch to equalize. Pressure was then main- tained by Bruce, and Joynes put them ahead with a fine shot. Weston got away again for Serapie, but WIN well held by Parr."

Potts and his two inside men then got going away for Bruce, and, from a nice, paus from Potts, Pearson netted a third goal for the ship.

In the second half, Fleck changed places with Savage, and Was BOON called on to save from Joynes and Potts. Bruce were having most the play, and Fleck gave a corner in aving a hard long-range shot from Horner.

DI

Towards the end, Potta and Joynes got down the field, and, from a pass by Barnes, Potts drove in a high shot tint. Fleck could not get to.

Friendly Match.

Another match at Happy Valley yesterday afternoon was between the Stokers of the Berwick and No. 9 Platoon, "C" Company, K.O.S.B. The Platoon are the sole survivors in "C" Company in the Inter-Platoon Knock- Out League, which ia at present causing much rivalry in the regiment. Both sides failed to score in tho, Arst half, and, at the conclusion of the seventy minutes, the score sheet was still blank. It was therefore decided to play an extra ten minutes, but still the shooting-boots could not well- be found. The teams were matched, but the Stokers' halves were superior to the middle line of the soldiers, who had the advantage for. word.

Hockey.

A friendly hockey match at Happy Valley resulted in Sterling winning against Serapis by six goals to four.

For Sterling, Sub-Lt. Lewis-scored fewer than four times, and Crawthorn and McGillivray once each. The atorors for Serapia were Hall

each, scored wood and David, who twice.

Shanghai, Feb. 3, At Rugby to-day, the American Marines beat Hongkong by six points tonil.

The Shanghal players Taylor and Hubbard assisted Hongkong,

Grieve had injured his knee and Scott was playing soccer. There were. 2,000 present to watch a splen

did game.

Hongkong had vastly improved in form, and the forwards outclassed the Marines in the loose, except in the

lineouts, and also completely dominated the scrums. They were continually healing, with the result that the Hongkong three-quarters had many fine pansing movements. Only the superior pace of the Marines prevented scores.

Hongkong had several drop kicks at goal, while one penalty struck the upright. A minute from half-time, Stokes crossed, and the half-time score was threo points to nil

Immediately after the rosumption, Clark deebed over after a Ane run by Burk. Hongkong then attacked frequently; and several times a score seemed certain, Goldman excelling with dashing runs, Lammert was too closely marked to get going.

Hubbard often opened up the game brilliantly, but a number of promising movements were stopped
