This striking picture shows the spectacular crash of America's largest aeroplane. When the motors of the plane, built to accommodate 32 people, failed shortly after a takeoff, the ship first struck a telegraph pole and went skimming along the housetops. It finally partly demolished one house and then burst into flames as it struck the ground. “The plane was completely destroyed, oue house burned and another was badly damaged.
