In the unavoidable absence of Mr. M. K. Lo, the questions stand- ing in his name were put by the Hon. Mr. J. P. Braga. The ques tions and the chairman's replies were as follows:
The first question was: (i). In view of the preval- ence of amall-pox cases in the Colony, will the Hend of the Sanitary Department state, for the Information of the public, whether or not it is the fact that a piffent| suffering from small-pox can ha treated in his own home and is not subject, to compulsory removal to the small-pox or any other houpi- tal, if only the following condi 1lons are complied with:
(a) That the case is forthwith notified to the Medical Oficer of Health alther directly or through the Public Dispensaries.
(b) That all the Inmates submit themselves to vaccination, and
