MATCH FOR CUP PRESENTED BY MR. R. DORRANCE.

During his visit to the Colony with the Shanghal Interport teain recent- ly, Mr. R. Dorranco intimated that he would present a cup for competition between the Kowloon "Dock and the Taikoo Dock bowlers, while the players' of the rink scoring the highest number of points would receive spoons.

The first match for the trophy was played on Saturday on the greena of the Kowloon Dock Recreation Club, the Peninsula team becoming the first holders by beating their rivals by 18 abots, The Kowloon players lost on two rinks but Puncheon and his men acored a lend of 22 shots over Wotherspoon's rink to give them the victory.

At the conclusion of the game, the Cup was presented to the winning ten by Mr. W. Wotherspoon, who remarked that it was a doubtful pleasure for him to make the pre-

In reply, Mr. Keith said that he did not so why he should have received the Cup as he had not had a hand in winning it--and he hoped he would not have a hand in losing it. The speaker associated himself with all that Mr. Wotherspoon had said about their generous donor and mentioned that he would write to Mr. Dorrance telling him of the sporting contest they bad had.

In conclusion, Mr. Keith thanked Mr. Waterspoon for his reference to the game and muid, that he had no doubt that future contents would be fought in the same good spirit.

Three cheers were then called for the Taikoo Dock.'
