The many people who have always understood that the best photographic lenses are of German manufacture, and that British lenses are interior, will welcome the news that not only were British lonses proved conclusively | to be superior In 1917 and on- wards, but that British manufac turers lead the way in supplying keen amateur photographers with lenace of very fast aperture.

Messrs. J. H. Dallmeyer, Ltd were the first lens manufacturers to startle the photographic world with the announcement of a lens "for reflex and press camera work, having an aperture of F. 2.9 "This was the famous "Pentae" Lens.
