Band Concert.

The band concert, which was an- nounced to take place last evening in the courtyard of Wellington Barracks, proved a great success, and the con tinuance of such entertainments it practically certain. Whilst num ber of. Naval personnel and European civilians had not grasped

fact that the puulle were per mitted to occupy the seats arranged around the Band, the troops in The Barracks were content in many cases to remain or their verandahs to listen to the very excellent fare provided by Bandmaster E. J. Woollcott and hi instrumentalisis.

Callon scored again for the Somersets as soon As they were within shooting distance, and Evans saved a curtain goal soon afterwards, with Andrewes out of position. Denmend added to the Somersets' score before the end, ani Lewis scored for the Corps from a corner.

Winning the toss, the Engineers played against the sun in the first half. Dryden was injured in the first five minutes of the game arul hui to be assisted from the field.

Dryden was instrumental in the Gunners getting their goal, which Wilkinson scored, whilst Wood nearly got another one soon afterwards Penny anly fast managing to save. Midfield play was the order for the remainder of the first half.
