OPERATIONS.

One mast of the wrecked Yuen Leo has been severed at its base by the gelignite blasting carried out by divers of the Shanghai European Salvage Ca. during the night of Tuesday/Wednesday Inst week and it now lies on the deck of the vessel.

This will simplify the work of taking down the other, forward, mast and the funnel. When the blasting operations are complete the masts and funnel will be raised to the surface.
