A PIG IN MISERY.
CASE OF CRUELTY AT KOWLOON COURT. Intimating that he would require evidence of the condition of the pig, Mr. T. S. Whyte Smith at the Kowloon Magistracy this morning remanded two Chinese who, ap. peared in Court for causing un- necessary cruelty to the animal.
One of the men was charged with carrying the pig In such a way as to cause avoidable cruelty. while the other, the owner of the animal, was charged with permit- ting the offence.
The owner said the first man was engaged to carry the pig to the slaughter house.
