Sports Record.

A sportsman with a very enviablo record left the Colony yesterday, in the person of Company Serjeant Major W. Anderson, K.O.S.B., who was given a very fine cigarette case by the officers of his company prior 30 departure. At football, C.S.M. Anderson had a record hardly sur

in the Army, playing for the inners of the Scottish Command Cup, when soven professionals were amongst his opponents, with Scottish Internationals in the side. For the South Wester

stern Command, and for Devon County, he played in 1920,

1921, 1922 and 1923, whilst in the two latter years he assisted his Rr giment to reach the Semi-Final of the Army Cup. He also played in the British Army Team which toured the Continent, playing the Belgian Army, the British Army of the Rhine, and other teams in continental cities.

When a Welsh International match was played at Plymouth, and in Russell's (the Welsh Captain) bene- a. Anderson played in goal, and Wales won against Plymouth Argyle
