The 2nd Battalion, The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, on route to Tientsin, arrived at Shanghai last week on the transport the City of Marseilles after duty in the West Indies. They later left for Tiantain. It was this regiment which gained the name of the "thin red line of heroes" daring, the Crimean war.
