BUT YACHT WOULD NOT GO.
Sydney, Sept. 21. Five young buccaneers planned a cruise, crammed with excitement, Inst night.
They set out hopefully in their pirate ship, a 23-toot auxiliary yacht, taken from its moorings in Kerosene Bay, but could not get the engine to go. An unsuccessful attempt was made to hoist sail, the yacht eventually drifting aimlessly about the Harbour,
Stocked with provision, fishing tackle, and extra sail, the yacht was discovered by a police Inunch patrol, at 12.10 a.m. to-day, rolling along gently before the breeze, off Blue's Point, and its crestfallen crew were taken to the Water Police station.
A large quantity of groceries and clothing had been stowed care- fully in the yacht. It only needed the skull and crossbones, flying at the peak of the mainmast, to com- pete the atmosphere of the good old days when piracy flourished on the high seas,
The yacht is owned by Mr. R. C. Bayliss, of Chisholm-streek, Vizeul- Wich. It vanished mysteriously from its moorings last night, and

The drifting yacht. constituted a grave danger to ferry tralle in the vicinity!
it was not a simple matter for the police launch to draw along- side the yacht, but when it did so the five boys, the age of each of whom, by a strange co netaenze, was 13, were reclining in the bottom of the yacht distressed by the un- happy ending to their voyage, and. quite eager to surrender.
