Although the auction rooms of Messrs. Hughes and Hough in the French Bank Building wore crowded for the sale of the steamets Tin Sze and Tee Lee yesterday afternoon, bidding was dull, the upset price in both cases being raised by one, bid only.
The Tin She was knocked down to Mr. Tux Hee, of 22. Star Street, Hongkong for $24,000, the upset price being $25,000, while the Tee Lee was sold to Mr. Tung Lee of Yue On Terrace for $12,500, an advance of $500 on the upset price.
