Police are investigating a comp plaint by Miss Heather Angel, of the. Forbes Russell Comedy Com pany, who states that she either lost, or was robbed of, a consider able sum in rupees and Straits Settlements dollars during Tues- day night.
Miss Angel left a bag contain- ing the money at the Theatre Royal during her performance there on Tuesday, and afterwards took her bag back to the Peninsula Hotel, where she is staying.
Yesterday morning Miss Angel discovered that the envelope in which she had left the notes. had bean removed, but the other con- tents of the bag were untouched.
