The .s. La-Yang Maru, the most recent addition to the floot of tho Nisshin Kisen Kaisba Bliding off the slipways at the Kiangnan Dock and Engineering Works Shanghat following the launching coromony performed by Miss Yonosato, daughter of the Managing Director of the N.Y.K. The coromony was witnessed by a largo crowd of Chinese and foreign guests and was accompanied by an elaborate display of fireworks by the dock works. Picture shows the

Our photo shows the enormous crowds which attended the annual regatta at Henley last month. The race.in progress is that in which the Columbia University, vistors from the States, boat the Westminster Bank crow. The presence of American challongera drew thousands of tourists to Honley, but they saw thoir favourites beaten in the semi-final..
How well trained those temporary coolles proved is difiloult to say, but the spectators at least enjoyed the riosha race at the recent sports in Shanghai held by the Wiltshire Regiment.
