Following the closing for some months occasioned by damage sustained in the disastrous fire which involved the neighbouring Khig Edward Hotel, the Hotel Savoy was reopened to business yesterday, and no doubt will-again a popular hostelry and. prove resort,

The hotel has been entirely renovated, and re-decorated, while a considerable quantity of new Attings and now furniture has been installed.

Of particular interest is the epecial installation of electrical fire-alarms, and indicators which enable residents easily to locate the fire exits (consisting of an external steel stairway and a concrete service stair, in addition to the main staircase).
