SEAMEW WINS IN BAD WEATHER.

Canton, July 20. HM.S. Seamew, defeated the Shameen Sports Cup by 34 runs. on the Fati ground this afternoon. The game was played in appalling weather. Winning the toss, the Seamew batted first, their innings being Interrupted by a heavy storm after which the ground was practi enlly Blooded, Duncan took 5 wickets' for the Club, getting a hat trick, as he took two wickets with the Inst two balls of one over and one with the Grst ball of the next. all dismissed The Seamew were for 75.

Benvy rain was, falling during the whole inainge of the Club besides which the light was failing badly. Curbly took six wickets for the Seamew, also getting the hat trick. Seores:

THREE LONDON OFFICERS SUSPENDED.

AN INQUIRY BOARD.

Police Ordera, the official docu- ment which circulates throughout the Metropolitan Police Force, contains an announcement to the effact that three officers have been suspended from duty following allegations made against them, and that they will in due coursa- appear before a disciplinary board at Scotland Yard.

The officers are. Chief Inspector Mears, Station-Sergeant Edwards. and Police Constable Milla.

Chief Inspector Meara has serve ed for 28 years in the Force, and has been sub-divisional inspector:

tor at Bow-street, which is in the "E Division. Last January he was transferred to Devonport. Dockyard.
