Sir,With referènce to the claim of your correspondent "Truth-seeker" to have seen in 1916 at the entrance to the Bund gardens at Shanghai notice rending "Dogs and Chinese are not admitted" it seems desirable to publish once more the official re- pudiation, and I therefore enclosa copy of an official statement on the subject:

Silk, Valuables and Tea for that, however, I would draw at tention to the categorical statement Italy, France and Landon (under in the letter of October 18, 1926, arrangement) will be transhipp- from the Secretary of the Blunicipaled at Bombay into the Mall Counell, that "careful investigation Steamer proceeding direct reveals the fact that no such notice Marseilles and London. has ever appeared in the Inter- national Settlement."-Yours etc...
