A happy closing for the year's work was the rally of several hundred members of the Girls Department of the Young Women's Christian Asociation, held Saturday evening on the Ying Wa athletic field. The programine Included an impressive opening ceremony in triangle formation, an inspection of the eight club sections by the Board of Directors and General. Secretary, a Grande Marche, the presentation of the Ma Sports Cup, group games, songs, cheera, and refreshments.

It was stated that he had a gister living at Gosforth, New- castle-on-Tyne, but none of his family had seen him for more than 20 years.

Several bottles were found in Mr. Darke's' room, some in a trunk under the bed, and the Coroner re- marked that there were polsons all over the place.

It was alated that Mr. Darko retired on pension from Nigeria a year ago owing to ill-health. Ho had been secretary to the Governor of Nigeria for 19 years. During the war he raised a troop in Nigeria, and was given the rank of captain.
