MALOLO' DUE TO ARRIVE IN OCTOBER.

A departure from the usual round the world cruise is an Around the Pacific cruise of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce by the 8.8. Malolo, which is due to arrive in

Hongkong on Octobor 24 and will re- main here until October 26. The American Express is making all the

arrangements.

The Itinerary will include visita to Yokohama, Tokyo, Nikko, Hyoto, Kobe, Miyajina, Chinwangtao, Fel- ping, Shanghal, Hongkong, Manila, Saigon, Bangkok, Singapore, Batavia. Buitenzorg, Fremantle, Perth, Mel- bourne, Sydacy, Auckland, Rotorua, Suva, Pago Pago, Hilo and Honolulu This will be the first cruise by char tered steamer visiting all those places. BRITISH VESSEL'S FIRST VISIT TO HONGKONG. A vessel new to the port arrived bere yesterday morning, this being the British Prince owned by the Furness S.B. Co. Ltd. who have their own offer in Hongkong. She entered the port at 7.30 am. yesterday under the command of Capt. Evans.

Built in 1928 as the London Ship per, the British Prince" is a steel acrew steamer of 7,080 gross tonnage and 4,947 nett tonuage. Registered at London, she was engined by Richardson, Westgarth and Co. to 1,004 N.H.P. while her dimensions are length 450.4 feet, beam 3 feet and depth 8.3 feet. She has a cruiser
