H.M.S. Soming soon caught up with the suspected vessel which, it is believed, was the a.s. Hermod, Norwegian ship of 660 tona com- manded by Caplain L. Paulsen. The Hermod cleared for Haiphong on Sunday. After investigations II.M.S. Somme found that every- thing was correct on board. Having made certain that no vesact in the vicinity, had been subject to a piratical attack H.M.S. Somme turned towards Hongkong, arriv- ing back in port yesterday.

Board should consider the question sympathetically, without bothering about technicalities. If they were sklisfied that one well was sufflelent for both houses he did not see why that should not be done. He could not agree with the serving of a legal notice for removal.

"Not Impertinent.”.

The President, Mr: W. J. Carrie, said the letter which had been received by the Board was not impertinent, He thought, however, that the architects of the property were being a litle off-handed in it.

It was a case of an objection to conditions laid down being followed by a suggestion that the cond?- tions should be altered. The con- ditions that there should bỏ two wells and two pumps had been agreed to by the owners and they had to abide by those conditions.

Up to recent years all applica- tions for water closets required the London, June 25. consent of the Governor, In Council, The Daily Herald announces that The conditions in this case werd As a first step towards the resump. not only thuse of the Bourd.
