A Chinchc named Choung Loung, described as an unemploy- ed stoker, attempted to tako his life by similarly leaping into the harbour from another Yaumatl ferry launch, while in midstream, Ife was rescued from the launch

and taken ashoro.

An unemployed Chinese named Chan Hing, who appeared to be in destitute circumstances, caused a great deal of excitement amongst the waterfront Idlers when he Jumped into the water from Blako Pier. After overal minutes' immersion, he was rescued. European and Chinese jumped in aftor him. He was taken to the Central Police Station and then to the Government Civil Hospital.

From Kowloon City Station, a report has been received that a young girl, named Yuen Yin, took her life by hanging herself from a beam in the kitchen of her home at 93, Talyan Street, The body has been handed over to the police, who are making enquiries

into the case.
