UNIVERSITY RESULT.
After an hour's conference with his colleagues of the Conservative Government at No. 10, Downing Street, yesterday, Mr. Stanley Baldwin has decided to tender his resignation to His Majesty at Windsor Castle to-day.
Thus is solved one of the problems which have been perplexing the members of the Conservative Party since the general election position became clear.
No statement has been issued by Mr. Lloyd George or Mr. Ramsay. MacDonald.
It is believed that Mr. MacDonald will be asked to form a Government and will accept the responsibility.
The Conservatives have lost another seat, Miss Eleanor Rathbone gaining one of the Combined University seats for the Independents.
