Some of the undergraduates re- sented the publicity given to their Mundla college by the affair, and particular- Swntow ly the remark attributed to Mr. Amay Mappin by some of the morning Hallow papers to-day, that "the boys of Pembroke" would want to give him a luncheon.

Upon the arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Mappin at the college, no luncheon invitation was forthcoming, and so they went to a hotel for luncheon with one or two friends, after hav ing been given a rather boisterous send off from the front gate of the college.
