ERROR OF JUDGMENT.

The Inquiry into the deaths of the threa victims of the aeroplane crash at the Kai Tack Aerodrome, following the aerial demonstration on the departure of HRH the Duke of Gloucester for Japan, was concluded yesterday, when the Jury returned a verdict that the deceased met their deaths through an error of judgment on the part of the pilot in landing

For the prosecution, A. S. P. Murphy said that defendant was nasigned to search duty on river steamers on the waterfront. On April 19 last, when he was off-duty, he intercepted Ngau Wah, an em- ployee of the Lee On wineshop at Shantung Street, Yaumati, and de- Squadron Lender Keeble, In manded to search, his person for reply to the Coroner, entd that he wine-labels, giving it out that he had been stationed at the Kaf was an officer of the Revenue De-Tack Anrodrome, on and off, since partment. No labels were disclosed by the search, but the defendant October, 1926. During five months was alleged to have carried the of that period he was in com- matter further by asking for a bribe of $2,000. The foki; was given to understand that non-com- pliance with the demand would entail arrest. Tie said he had not that large sum, and almost in ong breath, the defendant was then alleged to have asked for $400, ·

The Coroner: Daring the time you have been there can you give us any iden of the number of accidents there were in landing?

re-

Witness: As far as I can member, there has been only one serious accident, but that was not the caused through the size of Aerodrome.

BUSES COLLIDE.

SLIGHT INJURIES TO TWO

PASSENGERS.

An unusual collision between two motor buses occurred near the Peninsula Hotel yesterday after noon, as a result of which an In- dian named Nawah Khan, barber, No. 87. Austin Road, ground floor, and a Chinese wudan, Shek Fang, of No. 264. Temple Street, were sent to Kowloon Hospital with slight injuries, but were not de- tained.

It appears at about three o'clock four molor buses were proceeding along Salisbury Road towarda Nathan Road. The leading bus, which belonged to The China Motor Bus Company, stopped after turning into Nathan Road just be- fore the first stopping place was reached. The following bus had sufficient reer to pull up behind but the third hus collided with the rear of the second bus and the fourth crashed into the back of the third. Having just rounded the carner none of them were travel

lug fast with the result that ittle damage was done..

It is not known exactly how the injured people received their hurls, but it is believed they were thrown forward, Nawab Khan sustained infurtes te his left tem- plc,, nose and mouth, and the woman to her right side.

LETTER GOLF SOLUTION.

Witness repeated what he had said at a previous hearing, that there were two runs of 600 yards at the aerodrome. One from East

to South.

The Coroner: How does that compare with other aerodromes? Witness: Well, it is bigger, than several aerodromes at Home,' but there are others double the' Rizc.
