U.S. AMBASSADOR'S DEATH.

PASSING OF MR. MYRON T. HERRICK.

WAR DAYS RECALLED.

A Router's message from Paris, received this morning, announces the death of Mr. Myron T. Herrick,

U.S. Ambassador to France, whose serious illness was recently re- ported.

The late Mr. Herrick was born in Oct. 1854, at Huntington, Ohio. He studied law at Cleveland where ito practised from 1878 to 1886. In 1888 he went into business, interesting himself chiefly in banking, and f. 1894 became President of the Cleveland Savings Bank.
