There was a very large and dis- tinguished gathering at the fune- ral of the late Mr. H. 1. White which took place yesterad evening. the remains being interred in the Protestant Cemetery.

From four o'clock a steady stream of coolies brought wreaths to the Monument, where thean tokens were spread out covering a large area.
