Useful Hints.
The attention of members of the H.R.A.A. is drawn to the Asocin- tina Landbook, which contains amongst other valuable information to moturists, a series of useful hints for chauffeurs. These hints are given on juures 50 to 55, and as many Chinese drivers, can read English, their employers should Lake steps to ensure that there hints are read and ucted on.

Landon, Jan. 4. The Daily News states that Major Segrave, whose 460..p. car is now ready; will aguin attack the speed record on Daytona Beach (Florida), and expects to average from 255 to 200 miles an hour. The car is potentially 50 miles an hour faster than any existing lund machine, and is practically uncapsizable.
Major Segrave will leave South- ampton on January 30, taking with him the car and a 1000 h.p. motor bont to tackle the American record of 92 miles an hour. The motor boat, which is faster than any other British craft, will be tested on Southampton water.

CRASH RECORD.
Moscow Has It.
ONE IN THREE INVOLVED,
The world's record for the largest number of accidents por motor car in a city may justly be claimed by Moscow,
One in every three vehicles was involved in a serious mishap there last year, statistics show, while the buses, of which the Red capi- tal is no proud, each averaged three accidents during the year,
As motor traffic in the city la comparatively Hght, the total number of persons hurt was small, despite the high averago by cars.
The narrow, cobblestone streeta of Moscow are scarcely suitable for motor cars a fact which drivers do not take into account,

Haphazard lubrication does not pay. Modern engines demand much from the lubricating oil. To use anything but the bost procurable oil in the car of to-day is an injustice to a magnificent engineering achievemont.
Modern high efficiency engines make demands upon the oil which were unknown a few years ago. tigh rpeeds requiro above all a high quality lubricant.. Mobiloll backed by more than half a century's experience and specialization in labrication, moets those demands perfectly, proteciing every moving surfaco,
